SBA LOAN TYPES

SBA 7a

  • Working capital
  • Up to 100% financing for equipment, machinery, furniture, fixtures or supplies
  • Up to 100%  inventory financing     
  • Up to 100% real estate purchase or refinancing, including land and buildings     
  • Up to 100%  to construct a new building or renovate an existing building     
  • Start-up or business acquisition, operation or expansion of an existing business      
  • 100% refinancing of eligible debt

SBA 504

  • Up to 90% financing for equipment, machinery, furniture, fixtures     
  • Up to 90% real estate purchase or refinancing, including land and buildings
  • Up to 95% Construction financing for ground-up construction or renovation

 Eligible businesses must:

  • Operate for profit
  • Be engaged in, or propose to do business in, the U.S. or its territories
  • Have reasonable owner equity to invest; up to100% financing available 


  • Interest rate: For SBA 7a: Variable Prime Rate + max 3% -  For SBA 504: Fixed Rate Loan with rate  set when debenture is sold 
  • Term: 10-25 years depending on the type of financing
  • Prepayment penalty: None for 10-year loans. For 25 year term, declining 5-3-1% if fully prepaid  in years 1, 2 and 3 respectively if fully repaid.
  • Collateral: Business assets until 100% coverage; available personal assets will be added if below 100% of loan amount. No declines for less than 100% collateral.


  SBA 7A

  • Purchase of land or buildings, new construction, expansion or conversion of existing facilities
  • Purchase of equipment, machinery, FF&E or inventory
  • Long-term working capital
  • Refinancing existing business indebtedness 


SBA 504

  • Purchase of commercial real estate, 
  • Expansion of existing operations
  • Purchase of machinery or equipment
